Colour separated from where it is used
Changing which colour a button uses is a reassignment rather than a re-theme, because the palette and the assignment map are separate. Values are validated as you type.

What it is
The palette holds six named slots and a separate map binds fifteen interface elements to them, so changing which colour a primary button uses is a reassignment rather than a re-theme. Rather than asking for a second colour per role, a solver computes each foreground and background pair at render time and adjusts until it clears accessibility contrast, which is what keeps a colour chosen for a light theme legible when the workspace renders dark. Branding is resolved on the server into CSS variables emitted with the first HTML, and the client hydrates the same map, so there is no unbranded flash and the two cannot drift. Saving re-checks the caller's role server-side and is audited; everyone else sees a read-only preview with an explanation.

Rather than asking you to pick a second colour for dark mode, a solver computes each pair at render time — so a colour chosen for a light theme stays legible when the workspace renders dark.
The server emits the computed variables with the initial HTML and the client hydrates the same values, both from one map — so the two cannot drift and produce a mid-load colour shift.
Saving re-reads the caller's role on the server and refuses anything short of tenant administration; everyone else gets a read-only preview with an explanation rather than a disabled button.
