What it is
Prompts Manager is the central governance surface for the prompts that power APEX skills, specialist agents, and Studio Agent steps. Edit prompts in a syntax-highlighted editor. Version every change with diff view. Roll back any version. A/B test variants on a controlled percentage of traffic. Filter by domain, by audience, by which APEX skill consumes the prompt. Useful for fine-tuning the AI's voice and behavior without touching code.

6 features
Each prompt has a full version history. Changes show diff against the prior version, the editor who made the change, the timestamp, and a one-line change note. Roll back to any prior version with a single click — useful when an experimental tweak underperforms in production.

Define variant B alongside the production prompt and route a configurable percentage of traffic to each. Outcome tracking surfaces which variant produces better results on the configured success metric (citation count, response length, downstream action rate).

Filters help admins find the prompt they need to tune. Domain filter (CI / RevOps / ProdOps), audience filter (analyst / AE / exec), and consumer filter (which APEX skill or specialist agent uses this prompt). Saved filter sets let admins return to common edit workflows in one click.

Edit access is permission-gated to workspace admins so end-users can't accidentally degrade APEX's behavior. View-only access lets the rest of the workspace see what prompt is running — useful for analysts trying to understand why APEX answered a question a certain way.
