What it is
Segments lets you build reusable market and customer segments from a plain-language description or a starting template, save them for reuse, and monitor their health over time. It brings AI-assisted authoring, a template library, saved-segment management, and health monitoring together so teams can define and maintain the groups they sell to and analyze.

The catalogue walks the universal node types and registers each as a queryable source, excluding only structural ones. Adding a node type to the platform makes it segmentable with no new segment code, and each source declares its table, discriminator and per-field fill rate.
A rule is a tree of set operations over sources, static lists and other segments, and a leaf can traverse a registered relationship — foreign key, junction, or a reference into connector-synced data — with a count test. “Contacts with at least three closed-won deals” is one rule rather than an export and a spreadsheet.
A draft rule returns its compiled SQL with parameters, the primary and referenced tables, a stable hash and a plain-English reading of the tree. Membership can then be interrogated per row as match, no-match or unknown, so a null field is never silently read as an exclusion.
Snapshots carry the member list, the rules version and the diff against the previous capture, including a freeze taken immediately before a sync. Nineteen adapters then push that exact set to the CRM, marketing and warehouse tools you already run.
